Supporter List Instructions

GOAL: To have all or most of your students with 15-20 emails of family and friends on their supporter list on kickoff day.

When: Do this 3-5 days before your Kickoff date

Step 1: print enough copies of Supporter List that was emailed by your fundraising rep or use the one on this page and fill in the info before making copies.

Step 2: introduce the fundraising campaign with your students and emphasize your fundraising goal (the why).  Describe in detail with images or video what you will purchase with the funds raised.  If the students don't make connection between themselves and your why, it's likely they won't care enough to participate.

Step 3:  Distribute Supporters List to students while communicating an expectation that each student needs to gather 15-20 "quality" contacts. A quality contact includes the name + cell phone + EMAIL of each contact. You will need to emphasize the need for an email address. If the students don't know the contact's email they should send that supporter a text asking them to reply with their email. Top producing groups will spend 5-10 minutes texting their supporters as a group in class to gather emails so they can fill list.

Step 4: set a deadline for students to turn in their Supporter List back to you in 24 hours. In 24 hours collect the ones who have them filled out. Recognize and brag about the ones who followed directions. For ones who forgot or don’t have their sheet, go back to the “why” we’re doing this fundraiser and stress why it’s important and why they need this filled out before kickoff day. Collect and hold these sheets which will be passed back out on Kickoff day.

Goal Setting

Setting your group goal for quality contacts with email.

How many email addresses do we need to reach our fundraising goal? Here's the math. Determine how much money you need to fund your project or goal. Divide that goal by $12* and that result will be the approximate number of quality contacts you will need from your students to hit that goal.

NOTE: The highest profit checks are going to the teachers who can really dig in on 20-25 contacts + email before the kickoff date.

*We see an average of $12 raised per quality email entered into the InstaRaise platform.
